 This is pretty correct, but to understand it, you need to understand the  culture.  For the Turkish people, tea is a vital part of life.. just like coffee for  Americans.  It is served in a tiny glass on a saucer, and it always comes with some cube sugar with it.  And most of the Turks like to drink their tea with sugar.  So the idea is, tea is as important as water and bread, and you can not think of tea without sugar.. so it is like partners.. would you accept that?
