The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) convicted Turkey to pay 41,000 euro indemnity to a former Turkish prosecutor, who was banned from his post by Turkish authorities after he filed a lawsuit against the generals of the 1980 military coup.

I was reading the same article today and it says:
From 20 April 2000 he was suspended from his post as a public prosecutor; subsequently, on 27 February 2003 the Supreme Council of Judges and Public Prosecutors dismissed him from his post. And he could not work as a lawyer either.
That is what used to happen if you wanted to mess with the army..I am still not sure you can successfully take them into the court though..
