I think it is the verb olmak but I can´t make sense of the tense etc.

Help please!!

i think it means " to be" like the verb...

I think in here, the verb "olmak" used as a noun.

Olman is your exsistence and olmaný is to your exsistence.

Yarýþta birinci olmaný saðlayacaðým. --> I´m going to make sure you will be 1st in the race.
Burada olmaný isterdim. --> I wish you were here.
Arabasýzlik mutlu olmaný engellemesin. --> Not having a car should´nt stop you from being happy.
