Lovers having a conversation...

woman: You have so much power over me, will you promise me never to use that power against me, my love?

man: Do you respect me?

woman: Of course i do!

man: (smiles and says) If i ever use my power over you, against you, would you still respect me?

woman: hmmm... i don´t think i would...

man: if i lose your respect, then i´ll lose my power, and you will be a free strong girl.

--Sometimes i feel i love him so much, that i would subject myself to him, that I´d be his slave if that´s what he wants from me. But that is love: i feel i´m able to do that, because i know he won´t ask that from me.--

bayan: sayemde (i am not sure, maybe it can be  "benden") çok fazla gücün var, o gücü asla bana karþý kullanmayacaðýna söz verecek misin aþkým?

man: Do you respect me?

erkek: bana saygý gösteriyor musun?

woman: Of course i do!

bayan: tabii ki gösteriyorum

man: (smiles and says) If i ever use my power over you, against you, would you still respect me?

erkek: (gülümser ve þöyle der) Eðer  sayendeki (senden daha fazla) gücümü sana karþý kullansaydým hala bana saygý gösterir miydin?

woman: hmmm... i don´t think i would...

bayan: hýmmm... yapabileceðimi sanmýyorum

man: if i lose your respect, then i´ll lose my power, and you will be a free strong girl.

(I think you dont ask a translation for the last paragraph, i am translating it for everybody to understand)

Now that is indeed an old post of mine It was a long time ago, when I was overwhelmed with those feelings, which were then often still mixed with fear. That fear has been since long gone, and the respect always remained.

I was wondering though, wouldn´t ´saygý duymak´ be better here than ´saygý göstermek´ ?
