My try:
The third Istanbul International Animation Festivali will be held. The festival, will this year take place in the Plato Film School, the French Cultural Center, and in Indigo
The festival starts with the Ãstanbul Animation and Visual Effect Short Film competition, like each year.
The audience, choosing the finalists from roughly 100 animations taking part in the competition, will have the chance to meet with them during the festival.
The competition´s jury consists of Cemal Erez from Bahçeþehir University, Cemil Türün from Yoðurt Technology, Mehmet Kurtuluþ from Anima and Kerem Kurdoðlu from Sinefek.
Apart from the competitions presentations, succesfull animations from around the world will be shown, that were invited by the festival committee. Among the films is worldfamous Bill Plympton’s last film Guide Dog and a film called Magia Russica, that tells about the Russian animation history.
Besides presentations also the world´s newest Live Audiovisual performances will have their place on the festival. This activity will take place in Indigo at November 15, and will be followed by a celebration-party. The attending professionals will be given the opportunity to show their work.
With a very special system, to be installed in Indigo, a life and top-level performance can be watched.
Using a 15000 AL strong projector, presentations will be given on 3 screens, both synchrone and asynchrone. The ´meeting´ between this special system and professional artists will be an important experience for everyone
