Can someone please explain this to me. I haven´t started turkish classes yet, this comes from Roseta Stone program.

"masadan daha cok koltuk var"  I suspect it translates into "there are more armchairs than table".  I am not quite sure what the addition of "dan" to masa does.

Think about that it´s the same as "than".

... than table --> masadan ...

Thank you Faruk.  It made sense that is should be a "than" but I wanted to make sure.

OK, translation.  "kadýnlarla ayný sayýda erkek var" .

Could it be "there is an equal number of female and male",  and what does the addition of "la" to kadýnlar means?  Thanks

-la is actually the word "ile" and when you connect it to a word it becomes -le, la.

kadýnlar + ile = kadýnlarla

ile means: with, by, by means of, and.

Well, in translation, you may not find the exact words but it gives the meaning.
