Hello TurkishClass, I am new to the forum. I've lived in Istanbul for a couple years now -- I came here with my girlfriend, who is originally from here and wanted to come home for a while.
Anyway, it looks like a great forum and I just wanted to say hello before dig into it deeper!

Welcome Matt!
In my opinion - the forum is the core of this site. It has its life, thanks to the members of the site ( usually people wanting to study Turkish language ) and the teachers ( professional one - Erdinç, and natives who are ready to help us, students, to learn the language).
It is a great experience. For instance, with the help of the posts on this site I understand basic Turkish now.
I wish I can talk Turkish, and help the beginers of this site.... It may came true in some years.
So, welcome, Matt!

Thank you for your kind welcomes! Even after two years here, my Turkish is still very basic -- just the basic get-by-in-day-to-day-life Turkish. I definitely need to continue my learning so I can have some better conversations!
