Could someone please tell me what "ara ara" means? I can guess the general meaning from the expression "ara ara güneþlý" in a weather report, but I´d like to know what it means exactly. In the dictionary there are many explanations for ara, and multiple expressions with ara, however none for "ara ara".

Thank you.

It means occasionally, sometimes.

Ex: Occasionally sunny (Ara ara güneþli)

Yes - if you look here http://www.tureng.com/search/ara it also gives ´intervally´ as a definition (presumably meaning ´at intervals´  so ´sunny intervals´
