Strange things have been going on in Bodrum´s popular summer resort spot Türkbükü A 130-hectare region, forested by the preservationist organization TEMA has burned down three times, and now the files on the land, which had been sent to the ministry, have gone missing.

The TEMA Foundation, with a $350,000 donation made eight years ago by businessman Asým Kocabýyýk, had planted 86,500 trees in Bodrum´s popular summer spot Türkbükü. In order to prevent erosion, a wall was erected, and in order to stave off grazing a fence was put up.

In the summer of 2006, "a cause undetermined´ fire broke out which turned all of the trees into dust. TEMA once again planted 60,000 new trees. Then again in the summer of 2007, on the eve of the election the area burned down again. In fact it burned down twice. TEMA has not backed down and has put the area on their project program for 2009.

´THE PROJECT IS BEING TRIPPED UP´
Files have been sent to the Ministry of Forestry twice now for the project. However, strangely the files have gone missing. TEMA has now sent a third file to the Forestry Ministry. Someone related to the foundation stated, "The area´s possible annuity is making many mouths water, therefore, we are constantly being tripped up."

who is doing it?  why?  dunno.  but i do notice this:

seems that many jobs are created out of chaos:   firefighters, gardeners, seed/plant sellers, gas sellers and mechanics, courriers, and file clerks, etc.  babysitters, water company, dumpyard attendants, disaster clean up attendants, geologists, scientists, civil engineers, ?  what other jobs are created from a ´freak´ forest fire such as this?
