In this ever warming climate, i tend to wonder if anyone is at all concerned.Addressed from the west, we tend to look at the eastern nations as the main sufferer. However i think the whole situation has got out of control.Should we really be concerned, or alike the USA..........shelve the matter and concentrate on their own manufacturing industries.I am quite concerned, let me know your views.

Whether we are concerned or not is irrelevant......
Global warming has nothing (or very little) to do with human beings - and therefore there is nothing that we can practically do to change the situation.

I am not trying to pick a fight, but how did you come to the conclusion that global warming has nothing to do with human beings? Am I mistaken? Please explain...I am honestly curious. Thanks, Bod.

I am concerned about it, and think it's one of the most important issues confronting humanity today. In fact, the disastrous treatment of the environment concerns me.

Me too! Bod you suprise me. How can you say that we are not responsible for Global Warming to some extent? And when I say "we" I mean the individuals that live on this earth.
Or do you mean we are not responsible for Global Warming (or cooling) but we are responsbile for Climate change and I see these as different.
I agree that climate changes over time and that has been proven with the research that has been carried out especially in the artic.
But surely belching out fumes as the industrialised and emerging economies do, this must have an effect like no other throughtout time.
In the last few years, we have seen some of the most extremes of weather and I believe that "we" are responsible to some extent for this.

This reminded me of the sparrow-killing campaign in Zedong's China: at the same date and time chinese peasentery skared the sparrows by banging pots and panes on the fields, then wrang the dizzied birds necks.
No more Comerade Sparrow.
Basta!
As for recognising disasters and anticipating, global warming still has to hit heavily doors (minds). In the meanwhile a lot of door-bells are out of order. We are very good at recognising a problem only when this becomes a necessity, the outcomes already lying right in the front of our very own d eyes.
