In the sentence "Tüm hayatýmý sana verdim." could "tüm" be replaced with "bütün"? Would it be correct to say "Bütün hayatýmý sana verdim."? Is so, is there a difference in meaning?

Thank you in advance.

it is like the difference between whole (tüm / tam) and all (bütün)..

yeah. there is no difference in meaning but maybe a difference in use.

as a non-speaker it´s hard to figure out the use.

Thank you Merih.

So it looks like it would be ok to say "Bütün hayatýmý sana verdim (I gave all my life to you)" and "Tüm hayatýmý sana verdim (I have my whole life to you)", right?

I think the difference might be in countable nouns, let me know if I´m on the right track here. I think it would be ok to say "Bütün arkadaþlarým parti (or is it partiyi?) geldiler" for "All my friends came to the party", but not "Tüm arkadaþlarým ...", right?

Thanks again for the explanations.
