 my love, did you mean "hotel" ?

otel anlamýnda mý sordun, aþkým

As a non-native I´d translate it as: 

Did you ask for the meaning of (the word) ´otel´, my love?

Could someone explain why that is wrong?

your translation would correspond to "otelin anlamýný mý sordun"

this is like "otel bakýmýndan mý sordun?"

so "did you ask with regard to the hotel?"

Such things make Turkish that difficult sometimes.
