Younger people while addressing the elderly use "siz" as the personal pronoun.
Isn´t it more ´adults´ or ´older people´ rather than ´the elderly´? I would expect younger people to ´siz´ me - and they do - but I would take exception to being referred to as ´elderly´!

you are definitely right iskenderunli, but this was a translation attempt and the original sentence only says "older people"
by the way, it should be iskenderunlu.
