alýþ....?

I have two sentences in which ´alýþ´ seems to convey different sense.

(1)  ´Fakirliðe ve arkaþsýzlýða alýþýrsýn demek istedim´

(2)  ´Yemek alýþýnda bile bir kibarlýk var´.

The meaning of ´alýþ...´ seems very apt and clear in (1) but in (2) it is not.  Please can someone elaborate.

I have purposely desisted from translating so as not to prompt the translation by a native speaker.

Don´t be surprised when I tell you where (2) comes from!

Thanks.

in the first sentence, it is a verb

"alýþmak" - to get used to

I meant that you would get used to poverty and being without a friend (desolate).

in the second sentence, it is not a verb, it is "isim-fiil"

"almak" - to take

alýþ - taking

alýþýn - your taking

She has a politeness even at her taking food / She has a politeness even when she is taking the food.

 First of all to Dilliduduk --- Thanks, you are spot on!!! & thank you for explaining the (2) sentence.  Super.  Where have you been hiding, lately?

As for you Angel > ´Ah! Tu eger kuþta þudi canam, çeh mi kardam man?´ [If I kill you my dear, then what will become of me?´ [Farsi]

Yes!  How did you guess?  The (2) is from your friend and mine ´Yusuf Mardin´ >> buy ´Colloquial Turkish´ if you enjoy torturing yoursel.  It is the worst EVER book you can hve the misfortune to buy.{#lang_emotions_head_bang}
