Merhaba!

I´m just finishing my degree in the UK and I´m hoping to come and teach English in Turkey (I´ll get a CELTA). I´m travelling with my boyfriend who is on the verge of getting a job offer at Bilkent University. What are my chances of getting a job in a university or school in Ankara? Should I be looking at language schools? If anyone has any advice I´d appreciate it!

No, my degree is not in English. It is a degree taken in English. I know people who do have jobs in Turkish Universities teaching English who do not have a degree in English. I think the question is which universities recruit large numbers of language teachers?

Obviously it is not a professorship that I am looking for. Bilkent, for example, has a large language school attached to it.

If anyone knows any good language schools in Ankara that would be useful, or if you have done any EFL in Turkey - message me!
