How can we translate in english "uzatmak" as in "meseleyi çok uzatmak"?

Uzatmak would be to prolong, lengthen or make something longer. In this expression it would mean "to greatly prolong the issue" or something along those lines.

EXTEND : to make something longer or larger. Uzanmak, uzatmak, geniþletmek.

Bu sözcüðün, konu, mesele, konuþmayý uzatmak anlamýnda kullanýldýðýný duymadým.
