Hey point of discussion about "bugünkü" I´ve read that the persian word ´ki´ does NOT follow vowel harmony, but it looks that way in this example.

Good point, I haven´t even noticed it until you mentioned it. I looked it up in Lewis´s Turkish Grammar (I know, I know, I have no life  ) and it said that -ki doesn´t change except for dün and gün where it changes to -kü. It didn´t say the reason why.
