I am trying to decide where to go this summer with my friend.  We have both been to Turkey before, Gumbet for me and she to Marmaris.  We were not keen on either, in fact I hated Gumbet  and want to try somewhere less commercial.  

We are looking for a bit of night life, nice beach, good food, not all inclusive. - no dudus haha

Are there any favourite places that people would recommend?

Favourite places enough (for me), but alas no night life nor beaches. What comes most into that direction are places on the Black Sea but again, it´s not compareble to any place at the Mediteranian or Aegian coast.

I went to Izmir and I loveeeed Çesme

I will recommend datca peninsula, kas and foca..

Try Kemer - very beautiful nature, mountains and also some nightlife. From there you can travel all over the Antalya region.

 And loads of drunken Russians......

I love the area around Didim....not necessarily Didim itself.  We have a little place in a town called Akbuk.
