UK visit visa for Turkish national

Hi,

Has anyone applied for a visit visa for their turkish partner.

Me and my turkish fiance are hoping to apply for a visit visa for him to come to england to visit his brother and his family (and me of course but we have chosen to keep the reason for the visit be his family).

Can anyone offer any advice regarding how much savings its best to have in the bank in a bid for the embassy to take the application seriously? Its the one thing we are not sure of. His sponsor is going to ´keep him´ and put a roof over his head but obviously having a certain amount of money in the bank is going to sway the decision.

Please people add your comments on this as im sure there are many of you that can remember the nervous hopes when applying for that first visit visa to be together. ANy advice is very much welcome and very much needed.

Many many thanks
Sarah xxx

There is quite alot on the site about getting a visa to visit the UK.  Have a look at the essay I have linked above.  Trying using the search facility found on the left hand side of the webpage, in the TC Website section.  Search there and you can see many of the threads that already exist.
