For just adding some examples : (I´m not quite sure of the meanings but I´m sure that the conjugation is correct).(FR: le subjonctif est plus explicable en français qu´en anglais). Ãzmir´e gidiyorum = I´m going to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e giderim = I go to Ãzmir. (usually)
Ãzmir´e gideceðim = I will go to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e gitmiþim = I went to Ãzmir (As they said).
Ãzmir´e gittim = I went to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e gitmeliyim = I must go to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e gitsem = If I went to Ãzmir.
{Ãzmir´e gideyim ~~ that I go to Ãzmir. (que j´aille à Ãzmir)
{Ãzmir´e gide ~~ that he go to Ãzmir. (qu´il aille à Ãzmir)
************************ past mode (add: -di) **************************
Ãzmir´e gidiyordum = i was going to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e giderdim = I used to go to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e gidecektim = I would go to Ãzmir. (Future in the past)
Ãzmir´e gitmiþtim = I had been to Ãzmir.(As they said)
Ãzmir´e gittiydim = I had been to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e gitmeliydim = I had to go to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e gitseydim = If (only) I have been to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e gideydim ~~ that I be to Ãzmir. (past meaning)
************************ conditional mode (add: -se) ********************
Ãzmir´e gidiyorsam = If I´m going to Ãzmir. (right now)
Ãzmir´e gidersem = If I go to Ãzmir.(periodically)
Ãzmir´e gideceksem = If I´m going to Ãzmir. (in the future)
Ãzmir´e gitmiþsem = If I went to Ãzmir (according to them)
Ãzmir´e gittiysem = If I went/had been to Ãzmir.(In a specific moment of the past)
[this mode doesn´t accept obligation(-meli), conditional (-se), conjunctive (-e) or "subjonctif"]
************************ past conditional mode (add: -diyse) *************
( this mode is used for making indirect speech)
Ãzmir´e gidiyorduysam = If I was going to Ãzmir.(at that time)
Ãzmir´e gidecektiysen = (that seems a bit confusing, but : I´m bringing someone´s speech, I´m talking about events in a moment (Ex: 10/02/1978) then in the speech I´m reporting, it was there a sentence; that you (-n) would go to Ãzmir on 21/02/1978) OR : you can just let it go, ´cause no one (not Turkish of course) would use this tense anyway, or even more, the whole mode.
Ãzmir´e gitmiþdiysem = "If I had gone to Ãzmir, As they said.", Ayþe said. (someone is reporting Ayþe´s speech).
Ãzmir´e gittiydiysem = "If I had gone to Ãzmir.", Ayþe said. (someone is reporting Ayþe´s speech).
>> There are two other modes (Inferencial simple & Conditional Inferencial), the same use of the conditional except replacing respectively "-se & -diyse" by "-miþ & miþse",those are made often for narration, and people don´t often need using them in casual talking. (FR: c´est comme on dit : on dit que/comme ils disent...). I´ll give you some examples (not sure of the meanings), they are parts of a whole sentence (I meant there is something else to tell after them):
Ãzmir´e gidiyormuþum = They say that I´m going to Ãzmir.(right now)
Ãzmir´e gidermiþim = They say that I go (usually) to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e gidecekmiþim = They say that I´m going to Ãzmir.(in the future)
Ãzmir´e gitmiþmiþim = they say that I ´ve/I´d been to Ãzmir. (that sentence makes me laugh  )
Ãzmir´e gitmeliymiþim = they say that I should´ve been to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e gitseymiþim = they say : "If only I´ve/I´d been to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e gideymiþim = they say : "..... that I should´ve been Ãzmir".
Ãzmir´e gidiyormuþsam = If, as they say, I´m going to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e gidermiþsem = If, as they say, I go to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e gidecekmiþsem = If, as they say, I will go to Ãzmir.
Ãzmir´e gitmiþmiþsem = If, as they say, I´ve / I´d been to Ãzmir.
