It can be translated lke that:

I thought s/he called me yesterday, but it seems that it was you (or but I have found out that it was you)

So, here "-miþ" gives the meaning that person did not know that this person was the one calling, but he found out later.

and "Dün beni aradýðýný sanmýþtým" could be "I thought you/he/she called me yesterday" but from the rest of the sentence we see that it is not "you".
