sorry for the repost, but i wasnt getting any responses. hoping if i post it here someone will see it.

hello. Im sending a gift to my boyfriends mom. I am just not sure what name to put on the gift. or even what to write on a card to her. I dont think she likes me very much because she wants her son to be wih a turkish woman.

what do i write on the card to her? I know here i would say Mrs. (last name) but what is the custom for sending gifts in turkey, or addressing parents? Also an idea on what i could say to her in the card??

thanks in advance for any advice

You might find this thread helpful.

Also do a search within TC.  In the section TC Website you will find a search facility for searching this site and there are a variety of threads where you might be able to find something.

Hope this helps in the meantime.

Mrs. (last name) is a good idea, especially on the envelope or the parcel.

In my days,  ladies´ first names rarely appeared on open correspondence - so that their first names never became public knowledge.
