Ah benim örselenmiþ incinmiþ karanfilim

Ah my travailed and injured carnation

Bir sessiz çýðlýk gibi kýrmýzý masum narin

Like a silent scream, red, innocent, delicate

Bu ürkek bu al duruþ söyle neden bu vazgeçiþ

This timidity, this red face, tell me why this abandon

Ne oldu ümitlerine bu ne keder bu ne iç çekiþ

What happened to your hopes, what is this sorrow, what is this sigh

Sen ki özgürlük kadar güzelsin, sevgi kadar özgür

You the one who is beautiful as freedom, as free as love

O güzel baþýný uzat göklere, gül güneþlere gül

Hold your beautiful head out to the skies, smile at sun lights smile

Kýrýlma, küsme sen yine bir þiir yaz

Don´t get offended, don´t sulk, write a poem again

Çok deðil inan az kaldý az

It won´t take  long, believe me that it´s too near

Bu kadar erken susma biraz bekle

Don´t be silent so soon, wait a little

Aðlama, aðlama gül biraz

Don´t cry, don´t cry, smile a little
