Hello

Ill most likely be moving to turkey for about a year or so and was trying to look up information on staying there. All i could find out was tourists can only be there for 30 days. How is it possible for me to be in the country for an extended period of time?

My boyfriend is in Turkey now and we will be getting married in the US but not right away, we dont want to rush things, so i will be going there to spend time to be with him and not keep us apart any longer than we need to be.

any help or idea on how to stay in the country for extended period would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking if i was in a school learning turkish there was some sort of visa for that?

thanks in advance!

Are these requirements new? Or is it for US citizens only? I have never been asked to provide bank statements in the past when applying for (more precisely buying)  residence permit.
