on sunday i went to see my football team, west bromwich albion, play at blackburn rovers.

Tugay the famous turkish player was playing his last game for blackburn and the fans decided to give him a great send off. so alot of fans had tugay t-shirts and small turkish flags were handed out free. 2 fans dressed up as bars of turkish delight!!

while waiting outside a coach turned up with about 50 turkish men in galatasary shirts who had come up from london to say goodbye to tugay. they had photos taken with the locals and sang their songs.they also handed out turkish flags

inside the ground i felt i had been transferred to istanbul. so many turkish flags and what a great atmosphere. a poor game with no goals. tugay played very well. at the end of the game the fans stayed behind to salute him and make a special presentation.

i wonder if this was reported in the turkish news? if so can anyone let me have a link?
