Merhaba!

I would like to know what the following proverbs mean -

 

1. Arslan yataðýndan bellidir.

2. Bakarsan bað, bakmazsan dað olur.

3. Anasýna bak kýzýný al, kenarýna bak bezini al.

4. Boþ gezmekten bedava çalýþmak yeðdir.

It´s better to work for nothing than be idle.

 1. Arslan yattýðý yerden belli olur (i think there is not an exact meaning of this proverb in english but it sounds similar to "Temizlik imandan gelir" which means "Cleanliness is next to Godliness..."

TAKE A BRIDE AFTER  YOU HAVE EXAMINED HER MOTHER; BUY CLOTH AFTER YOU HAVE EXAMINED THE EDGES OF THE ROLL.

2. Bakarsan bað olur, bakmazsan dað olur.

If you look after it, it becomes a vineyard,

if you don´t look after it, it will become a mountain.

Like another proverb that says:

´It is the want of care that makes a field bare

Meaning that without giving your attention to something, nothing will ever come of it.

Unfortunately nermin´s answer was missing the last word.
