Quoting Inscrutable

Do you not work work? Thank you

Iþ = work, as in a job

çalýþmak = to work

Do you not work? = Çalýþmaz mýsýn? or  Çalýþmaz mýsýnýz? (for more formal)

As a learner I think maybe

Ýþ yapmaz mýsýn? (Do you not work?)

or maybe

Çalýþmaz mýsýn?

Wait for an expert to confirm!!

Ahhh L.I.R. Just saw your post and I agree with you! Big smile

 Oh yes - I suppose it could be the first one - as in - ´Do you not have a job?´

I suppose that is not an offer. I would ask this in Þimdiki Zaman form:

Çalýþmýyor musun?

or Siz form (respect you):

Çalýþmýyor musunuz?

The verb "iþ yapmak" would be some different.

 Agree, with both parts. (Watch out for iþ yapmak, iþlemek!!! - see dictionary if you don´t know!)
