Hi all - I´m sure this has already been posted somewhere (I looked but could not find a mention of it though).

In the 1960´s the US Government developed a training course for Turkish. It was aimed at members of the State Department. This course is Public Domain so it can be freely downloaded.

http://www.fsi-language-courses.com/Turkish.aspx

The training style is a bit "dry" but the material is excellent and thorough... and huge. There are 800 pages of instruction in two PDF books and around 30 hours of audio material (in 55 MP3 files). The total download of all of the material is around 271 MB.

There are better courses available, but you can´t beat the price for this one

I downloaded this one a year or so ago but now Teach Yourself Turkish** is available online I think that wins hands down!

Cool

I have both. The written text of TYT is absolutely superior, but having the audio recordings with the FLI course  is something I find very useful.
