Your application to the Institute of Turkish World Researces has been accepted and your preliminary registration has been completed.

But you need to apply to the foreign office of the Turkish Republic in your country to get a student visa. When you bring the student visa your full registration will be processed.

Thank you very much

Do you think it will help to show this paper when applying for a visa? (ofcourse it will, right??)

But I think i am registered with my passport.. and my passport is a British one (i sent copies of my dutch identity card too though, but they seem to have used the passport).
Wouldn't that be weird, a british-passport holder going to a turkish embassy in Holland for a Turkish residence permit?

I think it should be alright. A visa is a sticker they put on your existing pasport. For instance I have a Turkish pasport and on one page of my pasport is a UK visa (sticker) on it.

I don't know for sure what they meant by "öğrenim vizesi". Foır me it sounds like student visa but it could be an approval for study.

Just take the TURKISH documents to your Turkish Embassy and they should understand what it means. They usually take their time on these issues. Any Turkish governmental department is the same. They might do someting in a week which could be done in minutes. So apply early and take every document and e-mail print out that you received from the University or other Turkish departments.

I only have this paper..

I've been told this could take up to 6 months
3-6 months just for giving me a sticker.. what a nonsense..
i really hope i have it before i go on holiday in july, because if not it means i have to go back to holland first to pick it up after my holiday-visa has passed its date. I'd rather save the money for another plane ticket to see my family during christmas instead of spending it just to wait for a paper.

Yes i think they mean student visa, as they mentioned that english term when i met the woman of the course in february.

I'm already subscribed to another course. I did visit the TÖMER institute of Izmir, and we spoke with the 'headmaster' there, but the course was too expensive. Also, the one im going to now is connected to EGE Üniversitesi, which is more practical for me because i want to attend uni there too. I think it;s good to show i've also been to their turkish course if i want to be accepted.

You don't have to google everything you see, Kadir37
