Freshman and all my Turkish friends. I personally hate football with a deep passion - my fellow countrymen are an embarrassment to me as far as football is concerned and because of this I hate it and the (stereotypical) people who support it. I notice that it is not the same in other countries normally.

So, just for all you Turkish, football loving friends. GOOD LUCK FOR THE MATCH!

Lyndie, when was the last time you went to a football match in Turkey? Not all English supporters are the stereotypical hooligan and I think you will find that the average profile of any football fan across the world is virtually the same. You should not let the behaviour of a minority tarnish the majority and put you off such a passionate sport... Regarding the match tonight, I think Denmark might just edge it but with Fatih Terim's comeback who knows..

rehan! YOu should have asked when was the last time I went to a football match ANYWHERE! HEHEH! About 100 years ago I think - West Ham v Arsenal! Was very young and went with my friend hoping to meet boys. Did not realise that boys only go to football matches to......

Watch Football. So that was boring!

Actually i do take your point, but I live in London and generally a minority of fans in London are animals! but they do tarnish everyone else. You couldn't even give me tickets to the World Cup! I'd go shopping!

Maybe one day I'd go to a football match in Turkey, but I could think of a zillion more things I'd rather do. Lie on the beach, eat baklava, buy handbags, drink raki, visit historic sites, learn Turkish, watch the boys go by...
