"Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence."
I´m curious about the Turkish translation of this. I know the English is super advanced, so if anybody can translate this for me, I´ll be super impressed and very very grateful. I love this quote and I´d like to share it´s true meaning with my fiancée but It´s difficult for me to explain and Google Translate doesn´t have a good translation..
Google Translate wrote:

My attempt.
Büyük önderler, sýradan akýllardan her zaman sert karþýtlýk buldu. Sonradan gelen (önder) bunu düþüncesizce, kalýtsal önyargýlara teslim etmediði zaman ( or teslim etmedikçe) anlayamaz ama zekasýný, dürüst ve cesaretli bir þekilde kullanýr.

I couldn´t resist feeding this back into Google Translate to see how it came out!
´Great spirits always violent opposition from mediocre minds found in. This second man is not to give tactlessly hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses their intelligence can not understand this´
(As Google Translate goes, not too bad really!! )

let me give it a shot=)
Yüksek ruhlar her zaman sýradan akýllarýn þiddetli muhalefetiyle karþýlaþmýþlardýr. Sonradan gelen, düþüncesiz bir þekilde kalýtsal önyargýlara itaat etmedikçe ve dürüst ve cesur bir biçimde zekasýný kullandýkça bunu anlayamaz.

Does ´sonradan gelen´ in Turkish really mean ´the latter´? So if you put ´sonradan gelen´ in Turkish, does it refer to ´mediocre minds´ like ´the latter´ does in English?

We need a Turk here for confirmation

My try:
Büyük önderler vasat kafalardan her zaman þiddetli bir muhalefet görmüþlerdir. ikinci (yani vasat kafalar-toggle), bir insanýn hüç düþünmeden geçmiþten gelen önyargýlara kapýlmayarak dürüstçe ve cesurca zekasýný kullanmasýný anlayamaz.

Tureng gives ´ikinci olarak bahþedilen´ as a translation of ´the latter-mentioned´ - could that be the correct one to use here?

then let me change it a bit, maybe it´ll make more sense now..
Yüksek ruhlar her zaman sýradan akýllarýn þiddetli muhalefetiyle karþýlaþmýþlardýr. Sonradan gelen Sýradan akýla sahip olan birisi, düþüncesiz bir þekilde kalýtsal önyargýlara itaat etmedikçe ve dürüst ve cesur bir biçimde zekasýný kullandýkça bunu anlayamaz.
