Türkçe is the language, so if you are asking  a person (and not a book) if they are Turkish,  the second is correct.

That reminded me of a Turkish class where someone wanted to ask:

Is it a Turkish coffee? with "Türkçe kahve mi?"

(like asking is it a Turkish speaking coffee)

rather than ´Türk kahvesi" for Turkish coffee.

teþekkür etmek!!

This is strangely charming, but you wrote "TO say thank you".  But if you meant " I thank you",

"Teþekkür edirim" is the normal form." You used the infinitive form which requires a suffix when used as a verb.  Check out the "LEARN TURKISH" button on the left side bar, there are lessons that explan the suffix.  But commended for you enthusiasm!Cool

Sen Türk mýsýn  -> Sen Türk müsün - or simply:   Türk müsün

The suffix follows the vowel rules

You don´t need to say sorry for mistakes. Smile

We often learn the most from errors, (when the reason for the error is explained.)

Or Türk müsünüz if you want to be polite!
