I was wondering if somebody could enlighten me on the use of "eþlemek" vs. "eþleþtirmek" - both are translated as "to match" in the dictionary.

I get the "eþleþtirmek" would be to make to things match, to put them in pairs, etc., like for example "Aþaðýdaki kelimelerle resimleri eþleþtirin.", but what about "eþlemek", how would one use that? Could I say, for example, "Bu gömlek senin gözlerinle eþliyor." (This is my attempt at translating "This shirt matches your eyes.")? Could somebody provide some examples of sentences with "eþlemek"?

Thanks

Yes, eþlemek and eþleþtirmek both means "to match" but eþleþtirmek is preferred more.

"Bu gömlek senin gözlerinle eþliyor." doesn´t sound nice to me.

I would say "Bu gömlek senin gözlerinle ayný (renkte)".

Thank you.

So would it be correct to say: "Aþaðýdaki kelimelerle resimleri eþleyin" instead of "eþleþtirin" and it would mean the same?

Also "Bu gömlekle senin gözlerin uyumlu"
