I´m working my way down a list of Turkish sentences and it seems that there are some errors either in the sentences themselves or in the way they are translated into English.

The one sentence I´m wondering about is:

Ne yaptýðýný bilmiyorum.

It is translated on the website as "And I don´t know what to do".

Now to me, the Turkish sentence translates to: "I don´t know what you do/did." or "I don´t know what s/he does/did." Even "Ne yaptýðýmý bilmiyorum" doesn´t sound like the right one - ´I don´t know what I do/did" is not the same thing as "I don´t know what to do".

So then I was wondering how to express "I don´t know what to do" and I was thinking it would either be

a) Ne yapacaðýmý bilmiyorum.

or

b) Ne yapmayý bilmiyorum.

For some reason I don´t think it´s "Ne yapmak bilmiyorum", but what do I know.

Could somebody please enlighten me on the right way to say it?

Thanks.

Ne yaptýðýný bilmiyorum= I don´t know  what you did/whatever you/she/he/it did at the time, but also changes when talking about someone else,if that makes sense.

I don´t know what to do= ne yapacagimi bilemiyorum?(use of bilemiyorum because ´you´ don´t know what to do in that specific instant so the letter ´E´ is inserted, denoting uncertainty.

Turks generally say though ´ne yapiyim´? it´s like ´what can I do´?  I´ve heard ´ne yapiyim´ used in most situations for this one forget the past, present, future tense it seems to work for them all!

Hope it helps.

I don´t know what I do/did = ne yaptýðýmý bilmiyorum

I don´t know what to do = ne yapacaðýmý bilmiyorum

So then I was wondering how to express "I don´t know what to do" and I was thinking it would either be

a) Ne yapacaðýmý bilmiyorum.correct

or

b) Ne yapmayý bilmiyorum. incorrect

Other ways you can say "I don´t know what to do":

Ne yapsam bilmiyorum

Ne yapmalý bilmiyorum

or even

Ne yapsam ki

Ne yapmalý ki

Thanks.
