Dear Ozer

We the residents of Selale 3 would like a General Meeting to be held within the last two weeks of October 2009, when a majority of the foreign residents will be in Kusadasi and be able to attend to voice their opinions... We would like to discuss the problems that are currently occurring within the complex and try to come to a solution that would reflect the wishes of all the residents and not a select few.

As you know, we attempted to hold discussions with you in August but felt that these meetings were non productive and require that you meet with us and understand our views and wishes. One of the meetings that took place was with our so called accountant who we feel is not the person to be handling our accounts and would in that respect ask that you look for another accountant who can be more forthcoming with the paperwork required to insure that our accounts are kept up to date and that any discrepancies can be addressed.

We would also request that our present Manager remain in the position but that we should be able to appoint to work along side him and English speaking representative and a person able to translate both languages so that all the residents can become a part of the process of getting Selale 3 up to date.

We would require the Manager to send an account of all the residents with their contact details, who are currently not paying their maintenance bills so that we can contact these persons with regard to legal proceedings if they are unwilling to ensure that their maintenance is paid within reasonable boundaries..

Copies of all receipts that are being paid so that we can start to work together to resolve all the issues that are currently in place within the Selale 3 institute..

We hope that these issues can be addressed when we arrive in Kusadasi in October and that we can look forward to all residents being able to voice their individual opinions and come to a solution to the present crisis.

I enlarged the original post for people with glasses and am trying to translate last 4 paragraphs now.

Alex, could you make your sentences any more complex!!!

Keeping sentences shorter is a more effective way of communicating. This also means less chance of error in the translation.

Also, this sentence has an error:

One of the meetings that took place was with our so called accountant who we feel is not the person to be handling our accounts and would in that respect ask that you look for another accountant who can be more forthcoming with the paperwork required to insure ensure that our accounts are kept up to date and that any discrepancies can be addressed.

Let me also suggest a way of simplifying this mega-sentence:

One of the meetings that took place was with our ´so called´ accountant. We feel he is not the person to be handling our accounts. In that respect we ask that you look for another accountant, who can be more forthcoming with the paperwork required. This would ensure that our accounts are kept up to date, and any discrepancies can be addressed.

Not trying to be a smart-arse, but it makes the translator´s job slightly easier. Smile

Really it is hard. And I have not enough time. Maybe later...

See you.

No problem, my friend

As I had mentioned before, I translated the last four paragraphs.

Ayrýca mevcut Yöneticimizin görevde kalmasýný rica ediyoruz fakat onunla biz, Ýngilizce konuþan temsilcimiz ve iki dilden tercüme yapabilen bir kiþi yanyana çalýþabilmeliyiz. Böylece Þelale 3’ün modernizasyonu (düzenlemesi) sürecine tüm yaþayanlar iþtirak edebilir.

Yöneticiden;
