Since i'm in Australia I was wondering how would I write someone's address on the envelope. I'm going to write my boyfriend a letter but I don't know how I should write the address. Also an australian post website said the address would need to be translated so I really need to know what this is in english:

İnönü mah. Samipaşa cad. Uyumkent sitesi.

And would someone be able to help me out as soon as possible? Also I'd like to know a little bit more about the Turkish Army. My bf still has to do his nation duty thing there... and I was just wanting to know a bit more about it.

Thank you in advance.

What kind of translation do you mean?

if you write at the bottom: Turkey
then let turks find the address

if you mean sokak = street etc. i dont know.

Hi
I have never translated into English an address in Turkey. I think your post office are mistaken. what would be the point? a) you can't translate real 'names' such as the name of the road for example and b) how would the turkish post man know where to deliver the letter?

Your postal system will send the letter to the nearest main City, so all the Aus postal service need initially is the Town and the Country and then the Turkish postal service will take over. So dont take any notice of your postal worker. Just put the address as you were shown in the previous post, make sure the main Town/City and the number code are down and then sit back and wait 4 or 5 weeks for the letter to finally arrive
