Funny enough when i was in Turkey I saw a shop which was named after this, and I thought "Wow, what a beautiful name for a little girl." Well, I hope it´s a girl name atleast aha.

Yes you are right it is a girl name. its meaning is halo
Also the ring of light sometimes seen around the Moon which may have inspired the conceprt orignially.
(The "Big Red" Turkish Diction defined it this way in Turkish, "Hale, ayýn etrafýndaki ýþýk dairesi")
