OOhh I love this 'karadeniz' music. I have lots if anyone wants me to email some to them. So Freshman? can you do the 'horon'? I tried it the other night and frankly it nearly killed me!

Freshman, my friend who will come to London in November to live with my family was born in Samsun. is this near your grandparents? i have never been to the Black Sea Area, but I am told it is wonderful. I'm sorry to hear you can't 'horon' - it is excellent to watch although a little exhausting to participate.

I went to a Turkish restaurant in London a few days ago, which only Turkish people go to. After eating, the girls/ladies all danced, then there was a oriental (belly) dancer, then the music got very lively and everyone was doing the horon. I joined in, but it is very tiring and a very big man jumped on my foot but it was a good time.
