a quick question....

Seni Seviyourm - I love you

so why is Aþk also love? In which context would you use this? Can you say Aþk instead of seviyorum? for example Aþkým - would be love also then?

Thanks!

Sevgi is more like Agape

Aþk is more like Eros

lol

What I mean to say is aþk is erotic love, you´d use it to say you´re in love with somebody, whereas sevgi is more affectionate love. So the difference beween ask and sevgi is like the difference between "I am in love with you" and "I love you". They don´t always mean the same thing.

I think sev is the state of love, while aþk is the noun. this is what i understood from the dictionary.

Sevmek is to love, to like; sev- is just the verb stem.

Both sevgi and aþk are nouns.

Sevgi (love) - sevmek (to love, to like)

Aþk ("erotic" love) - aþýk olmak (to fall in love)
