I´m practising postpositions. I find this very hard. With my studybooks and some sites I tried to figure it out, but I didnt find a well-organýsed chapter about it, so maybe I made a lot of mýstakes and strange sentences
Ýf anybody would like to correct me it will be great!


Amsterdam´dan Ýstanbul´a kadar çok kilometredir.
It is a lot of kilometers from Amsterdam to Ýstanbul.

Amsterdam Ýstanbul kadar büyük deðildir.
Amsterdam is not as big as Ýstanbul.

Üç ay sonra kadar Ýstanbul´a gideceðim.
Within 3 months I´ll go to Ýstanbul.

Ben Ýstanbul´a gelinceye kadar Noel olacak.
By the time Ý´ll be in Ýstanbul it will be Chrýstmas.

Noel´e kadar Ýstanbul´da olacaðým.
Ý´ll be in Ýstanbul by Christmas.

Bu cümleyi yazdýktan sonra cümleler daha yazacaðým.
After Ý have wrýtten this sentence Ý´ll write more sentences.

Ýþe gitmeden önce kahvaltý yaparým.
I have breakfast before Ý go to work.

Dolaþma gezme gibi.
Walking around is like walking around.

Uyumak için yatýyorum.
Ý go to bed to sleep.

Soðuk olduðu için mantoma giydim.
As it was cold, Ý put on a coat.

Geç kaldýðým için film seyretmedim.
Geç kalmamdan dolayý film seyretmedim.
Film seyretmedim çünkü geç kaldým.
Because I was late I didnt watch the film.

Kalkmamdan beri ev ödevim yapýyorum.
Since I got up I am doing my homework.

Çok yorgun olmamama raðmen uyuyabildim.
I could sleep although I wasnt very tired.

Yaðmura raðmen dýþarý çýktým.
I went out although it rained.

Babama göre bisiklete binmeye kýyasla, yürüme daha saðlýklýdýr.
according to my father walking is healthýer than cycling.

Yüzmeden baþka dolaþmaya severim.
Apart from swimming I like to stroll.

Amsterdam´dan Ýstanbul´a kadar çok kilometredir.

Correct.. Or.. Ben Ýstanbul´a geldiðimde Noel olacak.

Noel´de Ýstanbul´da olacaðým ( I will be in istanbul in noel) or Noel´e kadar istanbul´da olacaðým.(Ý will come to istanbul i dont know the exact date but before noel )

Meaningless in turkish... but translation is not so correct.. Dolaþmak, gezmek gibidir.

Correct but more native is with CAN - as modal verb. Geç kaldýðým için filmi seyredemedim.

Kalkmamdan beri ev ödevim yapýyorum. 
Since I got up I am doing my homework. 

Uyandýðýmdan(kalktýðýmdan) beri ev ödevimÝ yapýyorum.

COrrect.... you can also say,  Babama göre yürümek, bisiklete binmekten daha saðlýklýdýr.

yüzmeden farklý olarak dolaþmayý da severim. also true.
