Amongst most learners ´Teach Yourself Turkish´ by David and Asuman Pollard is very highly regarded. I have several learning textbooks, and this book I still regard as the best book for beginners. It is also the recommended textbook for some Turkish learner´s classes.

There are links on this site to a pdf version on the net.
