suffix..

When there is a country i.e- Amerika, and there is a suffix to be added, do i need to write it like this: amerika´dan or do i write it like this: amerikadan ?

1. why your post doesn´t have any thread title?  it´s hard to even open your thread that way  i went to your account and to your last posts  and quoted right from there 

2. as far as i remember from my turkish lectures - if it is a country or city name, then it´s always with ´ before suffix  estonya´dan, amerika´dan, almanya´dan, izmir´den, ankara´dan etc etc etc

In addition, if you´re using a derivational affix or a plural suffix, then you don´t need the apostrophe.

 

for instance;

Ahmetgiller - Ahmet and his family(not sure about this though but it was the only example I could think of)

Ýstanbullu - a person who lives in/is from Istanbul

 

Please correct me if I´m wrong=)
