sağ-ol

means be alive

sağ ol-a-sın

meaning (wish) you be alive... that "a" suffix there is the optative mood.. expressing a wish or hope.. you can google it..

 Sağol, Sağolsun.

Literally "Be healthy".

Used in daily speech for "thanks".

Used in the army for troops to respond to the commanding officer. A bit like the marines Hoo-Rah.
