Listening to movies songs and conversations I notice that "şey" is usd in a way different than its literal translation= THING.  It seems like it is used as a space filler like etc or and and so on/  Can anyone give more examples?

 Yes it´s a space filler, like ´ehmm´, or ´what do you call it´ (when you´ve forgotten something´s or someone´s name for example)

This a line of a song:

´sana verlin her şey hep az mı´

do you think ´şey´ means ´everything´ in this line? :S

 her şey= everything

It is not used intensely but;

"şey şey konuşma" means "stop talking nonsense"

We generally say this saying when we are angry and unable to find something to say as respond to opposite sentence.
