Hi thanks for replying. Do i need a work permit for a summer job, yani for only 3 month? I know i need a work permit to work legally but i didn´t think it´s the same thing for a summer job. And is it hard to get a work permit for a summer job?

I met some Swedish at a summer club in Alanya. They were working there. Maybe you can apply or ask to clubs like them. It was http://www.clubhavanaalanya.com . If you don´t want bar-type workplace, I dont know

Hey Nancy! I know of a website you can look on, it´s called jobsabroad.com. They have some job listings there for Turkey and almost any other country. I know of a friend who used this website, she traveled to Spain as a tour guide and helped English speaking tourists (through the touring company) throughout their trip, making sure they were accomodated ,etc. Inshallah you can find a summer job in Turkey. I believe you must have a work permit to work for money in Turkey as in any other country, even if it is only for the summer. But it´s a good thing to get a work permit because it lasts for almost 2 years.
Good luck!

I have worked abroad on the sly in bars/clubs/hotels etc however the only legal way of doing it would be to get a job with your home companies eg first choice/thomas cook. it is hard to gain a work permit otherwise, as there must be 6 turkish to 1 english person in the company. many even get sent home once the season has started because they cannot gain work permits even as child carers in hotels.

It is not true that you need a work permit to work in "any other country". The example you gave (Spain) are part of the EU, so no work permit is required. However, Turkey is not part of the EU so you DO need a work permit. Turkey is getting increasingly strict about foreign summer "casual" workers in resorts.
If you search this site you will find many threads about working in Turkey. The one below may also be of interest.
