Could someone help me by explaining a bit about the ´s´ fusion consonant for when the -i suffix is used as the third person possessive, because for an example in a lesson it says kedisi = his/her/its cat ...but i thought it would be ´o kedi´ . It would be much appreciated if someone could explain this a bit more please

I´m just a learner, but what I learnt when I did possesive pronouns was

Third person, his/hers/its = o-n-un noun-i, because it´s belonging to him/her/it you have to add -i suffix at the end

onun kedi-s-i his/her/its cat, you have to add -s fusion consonant here to stop two vowels coming together, -i suffix here to mark it as belonging to

my house - (benim) evim

your house -(senin) evin

his/her/its house -  (onun) evi

our house - (bizim) evimiz

your house - (sizin) eviniz

their house - (onlarn)  evleri

I hope this is right and it helps.  If I´ve made mistakes can someone correct me please Smile
