In 1-2years me and my friend want to move to bodrum in turkey to live and work. Before going there what would we have to do? We have alot of friends in turkey that own bars and hotels and have said that we can have a job there...but what do we do about a work visa and residential visa?

İ dont think they will give work permition for working in bar 

Unfortunately you won´t get a work permit - and don´t be fooled by whoever agrees to ´employ´ you saying they will get one for you.  As for residence visa - you need enough money in the bank to prove you can support yourself for the length of the visa - because you are not supposed to be working remember!  Otherwise you can do the 3-monthly Kos trip and hope no-one falls out with your or the bar/hotel owner and reports you to the Jandarma for working illegally - which will mean a big fine for both of you and possible deportation for you.

Especially in bars and restaurants people like to say "ohhwww, come here, we´ll take care of you, job, money, everything will be fine!" ...and when you show up with your suitcase, scared look in their eyes Don´t count on any help of friends for a job, it´s a risk.
