´Grainne´ is a girl´s name in Ireland.  I googled ´Grainne Whoal´ and the closest I came up with was ´Grainne Walsh´ - who is apparently someone involved with internet safety projects.  Maybe one of our Irish members can tell you more though

Granuaile pronounced as graw-nya-wayl means "grain" or "seed" in Irish

I love a puzzle!  Can you give the words in the context of the rest of the sentence?

Ok.

It´s enterprise awards ceremony.

The announcer talks about the winner´s background before call him.

Then announces him;

"The Irish Enterprise Award
goes to Liam O´Leary!"

while the prize-winner´s walking through to chair by shouts of applause, the announcer says these words.

"grainne whoal award"

then the winner begins his speech.

That´s it. Sorry for my mistakes.

Sorry - it doesn´t make it any clearer to me - I can only think that it is just the name of the award - i.e the name of the person who donated the prize/award.  Maybe I should watch the film - but it didn´t get very good reviews on IMDB!

The Grainne Whaol Award!

I looked it up and found a name "Grainne Ni Mhaille" an Irish historical figure, and she´s also known as
Gráinne Mhaol..
