I was just wondering why the suffix for ´we were´ is ´-dik´. I thought it would have been ´-diz´ because all the other suffixes seem to follow all the others, such as; i was ´-dim´, you were ´-din´, and so on...

Nice point. There is some difficulty for explaining why it is -k for grammatical first plural person even for linguists but it´s a fact. So you have to memorize it that way.

It´s also seen in conditional form

git-se-k

gel-se-k

etc.

And in some areas, it´s also seen for other tenses (not in Istanbul area)

gel-ir-ik (instead of gel-ir-iz)

gel-iyor-uk (instead of gel-iyor-uz)

gel-miş-ik (instead of gel-miş-iz)

gid-e-k  (instead of gid-e-lim)

There are some things in any language that are just irregular.    You simply have to learn them and learn how to use them and not ask why they are like that.

İ hate ´inek´, it is used in Adana instead of ´indik´.
