My dear, it was years since/before you saw my cousin. I was 11 months (?)

It was wonderful to talk to you. I wasn´t talking to anyone in the family either. If I didn´t know you either,I would miss you because yesterday I started to cry when I saw photos of your childhood. I want to get to know your son too and I would like to see/meet you as soon as possible.

Just a learner´s thought - maybe first sentence means something like:

My dear, I am your cousin whom you saw years ago.

(Years ago you saw your cousin, and that cousin is me)

I think this sentence can be split into the following parts:

yıllar önce gördügün kuzen-in ben-im

I am your seen-by-you-years-ago cousin.

I´m not quite sure about it, hopefully some expert can help here?

Btw, I think that "I was 11 months" is correct here - I´ve heard it in one movie, "altı aylıktı" (or at least something very similar), and it was translated "he was 6 months".

I was a bit unsure about it too but I think she got the meaning as I read her previous and subsequent E-T translation requests. However, grammatically it might be nice to have a clarification.
